About Exotic Genetix
Exotic Genetix is a Pacific Northwest breeding institution that used Red Pop in more cross pairings than almost any other parent in their catalog. Velvet Heat is one of the warmest of those pairings | Cake Mix’s rich, velvety confectionery sweetness meeting Red Pop’s bright candy-fruit energy for a cross that sits at the warm, indulgent end of the EG dessert spectrum. Four lots across multiple collector market cycles reflects sustained collector demand for this pairing.
The Genetics: Cake Mix’s—Red Pop
Cake Mix (Wedding Cake’s—Kush Mints 11 or similar cake-dominant cross) is known for a rich, warm, creamy-cake terpene profile | dense structure, high resin, and a dessert-forward nose that lives up to the “cake” designation. Red Pop is EG’s signature bubblegum-candy inhouse strain: bright, fruity, red-candy sweetness that brings energy and pop to any cross. Velvet Heat combines these: Cake Mix’s warm, velvety cake depth meeting Red Pop’s bright candy-fruit character for a fem pheno pool built for rich dessert expression | from warm cake-candy to brighter red-cake expressions, all with the visual quality and structural density that Cake Mix genetics reliably produce.
