TrolMaster EFC-1 EC Fan Control Adapter | PWM or 0-10V Output

What the TrolMaster EFC-1 Does to a Fan An EC fan is not switched on and off, it is told what speed to run at. That instruction arrives as either a PWM signal or a 0 to 10 volt analogue signal, depending on the fan. This adapter produces both, and you select which one at the unit. It sits between a Tent-X controller and the fan, translating the controller's command into whatever the fan expects to receive. The PWM mode carries an LCD display. You can read the duty cycle the fan is actually being given rather than inferring it from the airflow. The 0 to 10 volt mode covers the large share of EC fans built to that standard instead. Connection is plug and play over the supplied RJ12 to female barrel cable. TrolMaster covers the adapter for three years. Counting EC Fan Control Adapters for a Tent-X Build This is where growers under-count, so it is worth stating plainly. A Tent-X system takes one adapter per fan line. The exhaust line, F1, needs its own unit, and the intake line, F2, needs a second. Running speed control on both therefore means two adapters rather than one. The unit weighs under two tenths of a pound and takes no bench space, so the constraint is quantity rather than room. Check the fan's control input before selecting a mode. A fan expecting 0 to 10 volts will ignore a PWM signal entirely and sit at its default. The adapter is not ETL or UL listed, which is worth knowing if your facility inspection requires listed control components. Beyond that it is a simple part that removes the main reason growers leave EC fans running flat out all cycle. Key Features Two Output Modes: PWM or 0 to 10 volt, selected at the unit, so one part covers either style of EC fan. LCD Duty Readout: In PWM mode the display shows the duty cycle being commanded rather than leaving you guessing. Plug And Play: The supplied RJ12 to female barrel cable connects the adapter without any wiring work. One Per Fan Line: Exhaust F1 and intake F2 each need their own adapter, which is easy to under-count at quote stage. Three Year Warranty: TrolMaster covers the adapter for three years from the date of sale. Light And Compact: At under two tenths of a pound it adds no meaningful weight or space to a tent build.
