TrolMaster ECS-500 500 ft RJ12 Cable Roll | 100 Connectors and Covers

What the TrolMaster RJ12 Cable Roll Contains This kit is built for wiring a TrolMaster system to length instead of coiling spare cable behind the controller. The cable on the roll is flat and white, wound on a single spool for long runs. It comes with 100 RJ12 crystal heads, enough to finish both ends of about fifty cables. A matching set of 100 crystal head protectors slides over each finished plug. Those covers shield the locking tab, which is the part that usually breaks on a busy grow room floor. Hydro-X controllers and most of their sensors and device stations talk over standard RJ12 lines and splitters. The maker calls for straight-through wiring with 6P6C ends on every custom cable. The cable is rated for 32 to 122 °F and humidity up to 90 percent, the same band as the modules it links. Packed, the kit measures about 10 x 10 x 11.6 in and weighs close to 9.9 lb. TrolMaster backs it with a 3-year warranty. Building Custom Runs From a 500 Ft RJ12 Cable Roll A 500 ft RJ12 cable roll pays off in multi-room builds, ceiling grids and racks where pre-cut lengths never land in the right place. Plan each run on paper first, from controller to splitter to module, so the roll is cut with little waste. Pull the cable along its final path, then cut it with a few inches of slack at each end. Slide a protector onto the cable before fitting the plug, since it cannot go on afterwards. Keep the conductor colours in the same sequence on both ends for a straight-through cable. Seat every conductor fully into the head and crimp it with a proper RJ12 tool. Check each new cable with a tester or a known working module before closing up the ceiling. Route lines away from ballast leads and high-voltage cords, and keep them off wet floors. Label both ends with the device name so a fault can be traced in minutes. Done carefully, the room ends up with tidy, labelled runs and a spare stock of cable for later changes.
