TrolMaster ECS-10 RJ12 Coiled Communication Cable | 25 ft for Light Lifts & Racks

How the TrolMaster ECS-10 Is Built This communication cable runs 25 ft from plug to plug. The middle 15 ft is coiled, and each end has 5 ft of straight cable before the RJ12 plug. The coil stretches as a fixture rises and pulls back as it lowers. That keeps tension steady on the connectors, where a straight cord would go taut or bunch up. The straight leads let the plugs sit still at the fixture and at the controller, so they do not flex with every move. Standard RJ12 plugs suit TrolMaster Hydro-X, Tent-X and Green-X systems and other RJ12-controlled fixtures. The cable is rated for 32 to 122 °F and humidity up to 90%. Those limits match the conditions inside a working grow room. One cable comes in the pack. TrolMaster backs it with a 3-year warranty. Running an RJ12 Coiled Cable on Moving Fixtures An RJ12 coiled cable earns its keep wherever lights or controllers move during the crop. Typical spots are fixtures on light lifts, mobile vertical racks and benches that roll along a track. Plug one straight end into the fixture and the other into the controller or daisy-chain point. Clip each straight lead to a fixed point so the coil, not the plug, absorbs the movement. Run the lift through its full travel once to check the coil never reaches full stretch. Keep the coil clear of hot fixture housings, fan blades and moving lift cables. On fixed runs, a straight cable lies neater, because the coil stays bunched when nothing moves. Inspect the coil between crops for nicks or kinks, especially where it rubs a frame. Label both ends so each fixture's link is easy to trace. A spare cable on the shelf makes a damaged run a quick swap. Set up this way, moving fixtures stay online through every adjustment.
