TrolMaster ECS-1 RJ12 Extension Cable Set | 16 ft + 4 ft Cables, T-Splitter

What Comes in the RJ12 Extension Cable Set The ECS-1 is TrolMaster's spare wiring kit for the Hydro-X environmental control system. It holds one 16 ft male-to-male RJ12 cable, one 4 ft male-to-male RJ12 cable and one RJ12 T-splitter. Every TrolMaster module and sensor already ships with that same trio. This set doubles the reach, so a device can sit much farther from the controller than its own cable allows. The connectors are standard six-position RJ12 plugs that click into the Hydro-X ports and module jacks. Nothing needs crimping, configuring or powering, since the cables only carry the signal between devices. The splitter lets one run feed two devices, which is how stations and sensors daisy-chain along a room. The pack measures about 156 x 83 x 30 mm and weighs roughly 0.18 kg. It carries a 3-year TrolMaster warranty. Keep a set on the shelf, and a moved bench or a new sensor position stops being a wiring problem. Routing the TrolMaster ECS-1 Through a Grow Room The TrolMaster ECS-1 earns its place when a room grows past the reach of the cables that came in each module's box. Typical cases are a sensor that needs to hang mid-canopy, or a station mounted near a far wall outlet. Run the long cable along the ceiling or a trellis line, well clear of drip lines and reservoirs. Use the T-splitter at the point where two devices branch off, and the short lead for the final drop. Label both ends with tape before closing up the run, which saves time when the room is full of foliage. Leave a little slack at each connector so a bumped cable does not tug a plug half out of its jack. Avoid pinching the cable in doors or under heavy equipment, since a crushed jacket can drop the signal. These are low-voltage data cables, so they should not share a tight bundle with high-wattage power cords. If a sensor goes offline after a move, reseat the plugs before blaming the device. One kit covers one extension, so long layouts may call for several. Key Features 16 ft RJ12 cable: Adds a full extra run between the controller and a distant device. 4 ft RJ12 cable: Handles the short drop from the splitter to a sensor or station. RJ12 T-splitter: Lets one line branch to two TrolMaster devices. Plug and play: Standard connectors click straight into Hydro-X ports and modules. 3-year warranty: Backed by TrolMaster like the rest of the Hydro-X system.
