TrolMaster DSD-1 Dry Contact Station | 6A, 30VDC/250VAC Relay

What the TrolMaster Dry Contact Station Switches, and at What Rating Some equipment will not take a switched outlet. A lighting contactor, a light deprivation curtain motor or a pump starter wants a contact closed or opened. That is the whole job of this little box. The output current is 6A and the dry contact output is 30VDC or 250VAC, 6A. Input is 100~240VAC at 50 or 60 Hz, and the output side matches it. Working range is 32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit at ninety percent humidity or less. The packaged unit measures 85mm x 80mm x 90mm. In the box there is the station itself, a 16 ft RJ12 cable, a 4 ft RJ12 cable and an RJ12 T-splitter. That means one unit can be chained into an existing run without extra parts. An LCD on the front shows the assignment, which saves pulling the controller up to see what a given station is doing. Configuration follows the same pattern as the other TrolMaster device stations, so anyone running a Hydro-X already knows the flow. Picking a Dry Contact Relay Module Over a Powered Station The distinction is simple and it decides whether this is the right part. A powered device station makes and breaks line voltage to the equipment itself. This one only makes and breaks a pair of contacts, and the equipment supplies its own power. That is what a contactor coil, a curtain controller or an industrial pump starter expects. TrolMaster name lighting contactors, light deprivation curtains, pump contactors, and temperature, humidity and CO2 devices as the intended targets. It connects on the devices line and can be assigned to any of those functions from the controller. The rating is the caution, and it matters here more than on most accessories. This part is rated at 6A output. Anything drawing more than that belongs behind a proper relay station rather than this one. Key Features Dry contact output: Rated 30VDC or 250VAC at 6A. Switches a closure, not power: The equipment supplies its own power and this closes the loop. Input 100~240VAC: Fifty or sixty hertz, with the output side matching the input. LCD assignment display: Shows what the station is set to without opening the controller. Both cables included: A 16 ft RJ12 and a 4 ft RJ12 ship in the box with it. RJ12 T-splitter included: Lets the unit chain into an existing device run as supplied. Intended targets: Lighting contactors, deprivation curtains, pump starters and more. Working range: Thirty two to a hundred and twenty two Fahrenheit, humidity under ninety percent.
