Triminator Rosin TRP. 25 Tons, 6 x 10 in Platens, Dual PID Control

The Triminator Rosin Press at Twenty-Five Tons Force and heat are the two variables, and this press is built around getting more of the first so you need less of the second. Twenty-five tons goes through platens measuring 6 by 10 inches. They are food-safe aluminium, chosen for thermal mass rather than weight, because a heavy platen holds its temperature when cold material hits it. Four heating elements sit behind them. Each platen carries its own PID controller, so the top and bottom faces can be set to different numbers. That matters more than it sounds when one side of a bag is against a colder surface. The working capacity is up to 128 grams a cycle. The frame is high strength alloy steel, made in Northern California. Overall it measures 10.7 by 16.5 by 17 inches and weighs 120 pounds, running on 120 volts. Why a Hydraulic Rosin Press Beats a Screw A screw press gives you whatever force your arm can generate, and it fades as you tire. Hydraulics give you the same force on the last bag of the day as the first, and that repeatability is the whole game in extraction. Pressure and temperature together decide the yield and the quality, and only one of them is easy to hold steady by hand. High pressure lets the temperature come down, and lower temperatures keep the volatile compounds that make the product worth pressing. That is the argument for twenty-five tons on a bench press. The cylinder is a 25 ton BVA unit and the pump is a separate decision, with manual and air-over-hydraulic options in the range. Press-only, manual pump and air pump are different builds. An air pump also needs a compressor you may not own.
