Trellis Netting Bulk Roll 4 ft x 3280 ft. Growers Edge, 6 in Mesh

What Comes on a Growers Edge Trellis Netting Bulk Roll Bulk netting is priced per length and used per area, so the arithmetic matters. Four feet wide by 3,280 ft long gives 13,120 square feet of netting on one roll, and the roll weighs 24.73 lbs. Squares are 6 x 6 in across the whole run. The part number is HGC740166, and twenty rolls go to a pallet. There is a wider version of the identical netting, HGC740170, at 6.5 ft by the same length and 40 lbs on the roll. The material is polypropylene rather than nylon, and that single fact decides most of what follows. Polypropylene is the commercial grade version, and it is the heavier of the two netting families here. One roll at this length is a season of trellis for a multi-room facility rather than a tent. Why Commercial Trellis Netting Settles on Six Inch Squares Six inches is the size that works with a hand in it. A grower has to reach through, take hold of a branch and tuck it back without cutting the net or losing the square. Smaller openings trap a wrist on the way out. Larger ones stop carrying a cola once it puts real weight on. The grid is only half the story though, because the material decides whether the grid holds its shape. Polypropylene stays where you stretched it instead of giving under load the way a soft nylon mesh does. Put a branch in a square and it is still in that square at harvest. Soft mesh is kinder to a stem and lets the canopy sag as it fills, which some growers prefer on delicate varieties. Neither is wrong and this brand makes both. The choice is whether the net should define a canopy plane or just catch it. Run it horizontally as a scrog plane, or vertically as a support wall against a bench. The roll pulls without tangling, which stops mattering on a short length and matters enormously on a run this long. One caution at this quantity: there is no small version of the decision. Cut a short piece and work it before committing a whole pallet. Key Features 13,120 square feet per roll: Four feet wide by 3,280 ft long, so work the area before comparing. 6 x 6 in reach-through squares: Wide enough for a hand, tight enough to carry a loaded branch. Polypropylene, not soft nylon: Holds its shape under load instead of stretching and sagging. Vertical or horizontal: The same roll works as a canopy plane or a vertical support wall. 24.73 lbs on the roll: The 6.5 ft wide version, HGC740170, weighs 40 lbs instead. Pulls without tangling: The thing that matters most over a run of this length. Twenty rolls per pallet: The pallet unit, for anyone working at scale.
