ThinkGrow TLD-2 Is the Standard Two-Channel Model One Driver Every Model One light bar plugs into its own driver. The TLD-2 is the standard driver for the two-channel bars. It has two control channels, each running one type of diode on the bar. With a DR-1 that means full spectrum plus deep red, and with an FR-1 full spectrum plus far red. Both channels dim from 0 to 100% over RS485 using the Modbus protocol. The driver powers one 90W bar from a 100–277VAC supply at 50/60Hz. Power factor is 96% or better. Current draw is 0.77A at 120V, 0.39A at 240V and 0.35A at 277V. The housing is rated IP56 and marked for damp locations. The manual lists the package at 25.98 × 3.64 × 3.44 in and 2.27 lbs. Mounting a Model One LED Driver Attach the twist lock plate to an MB-series mounting bar and twist the TLD-2 onto it. Leave more than 115 mm between drivers, using the bar's scale plate as a guide. Alternate driver direction so the male and female power leads meet. Connect neighbors with TDC-2, TDC-3 or TDC-4 daisy-chain cords. Bring power and the controller link to each group through a TDC-120 or TDC-240 splitter cord. The manual allows 11 drivers per cord on a 120-volt supply and 25 on a 277-volt supply. The driver label also marks a ten-unit maximum, so check the manual before building large groups. Seat a DR-1 or FR-1 bar in the socket until it clicks. A TrolMaster controller then handles scheduling and dimming. Rooms that need UV or separate deep red and far red should use the four-channel TLD-4 instead.
