Tarpline USA Lite Tite Tarp Zip-Up, Black | 84 in Peel and Stick Tarp Zipper

How the Lite Tite Tarp Zipper Is Made This adhesive-backed zipper adds a resealable doorway to any wall of plastic sheeting. A heavy-duty, waterproof #5 zipper runs 84 in long, enough for a full walk-through opening. It is sewn to a 950-denier high-density polyethylene backing that resists tearing. The backing carries a permanent high-tack acrylic adhesive that bonds to clean plastic sheeting. No special tools are needed, and the zipper installs in minutes with the included instructions. Once in place, the doorway is dust proof, waterproof and light proof. Closing it controls air movement, which helps hold temperature inside a sealed space. The black zipper suits vapor barrier walls, cold frames, plastic tent structures and shrink-wrapped boats. Installing a Peel and Stick Zipper on a Grow Room Wall A peel and stick zipper is the quickest way to add a door to a plastic-walled grow room or cold frame. Pick a spot on the sheeting with a flat area at least as tall as the zipper. Wipe the plastic clean and let it dry, since the adhesive bonds only to a clean surface. Hang the zipper vertically, peel back the liner a section at a time and press the backing firmly onto the sheeting. Run a hand down the full length to remove air bubbles and seat the adhesive. With the zipper closed, cut the sheeting along the line between the teeth. Open and close it a few times to check that it runs smoothly before the room goes into use. Keep the pull on the inside for a dark room, so the door can be closed from within. On a busy door, open the zipper fully before stepping through to avoid pulling on the backing. Wipe dust and residue from the teeth from time to time so the zipper keeps sliding freely. Key Features 84 in zipper: Long enough for a full walk-through doorway.
