Where CaFe Mag 10 lb Earns Its Keep
Particle size is the reason this one goes through a sprayer as well as a feed line. Micronized powder passes a nozzle that would block on a coarser mineral, which opens up the foliar route. That matters more with iron than with most inputs.

Particle size is the reason this one goes through a sprayer as well as a feed line. Micronized powder passes a nozzle that would block on a coarser mineral, which opens up the foliar route. That matters more with iron than with most inputs. A leaf already showing chlorosis takes iron in faster through the leaf than through a root zone sitting at the wrong pH. The analysis behind it is 4.00% iron, 1.75% calcium and 1.50% magnesium, drawn from greensand, magnesium, an amino acid complex and colloidal clay.
Running an Iron Supplement for Plants Across Rooms
Watered in weekly, mild is an eighth to a quarter teaspoon per gallon. Strong is a half to one teaspoon, and heavy reaches a tablespoon. Top dressing is a half to two teaspoons per cubic foot every two to four weeks. Before you dose, read your base feed. Plenty of complete nutrients already carry iron, and stacking this on top of one of them can take you past what the plant wants. Correct a deficiency, then back off to the mild band. A 10 lb bag suits two or three rooms on a weekly programme, or one room that also gets a foliar pass. Keep it sealed, because powder that draws moisture clumps and clumped powder blocks the nozzle it was ground fine enough to pass.
Key Features
Fine enough for a sprayer: The same powder runs through a nozzle and through a dripper without blocking.
Foliar route for a fast fix: A chlorotic leaf takes iron in quicker than a root zone at the wrong pH.
4.00% iron: With 1.75% calcium and 1.50% magnesium, so iron is the headline number.
Greensand and amino acid complex: The carriers behind the iron, with magnesium and colloidal clay.
Three weekly dose bands: An eighth of a teaspoon a gallon at the mild end, a tablespoon at the heavy.
Top dress by the cubic foot: Half to two teaspoons worked in every two to four weeks.
Check your base feed first: Many complete nutrients already carry iron. Stacking can overshoot.
Back off after the correction: Fix the deficiency, then settle into the mild band rather than staying heavy.
Two or three rooms: 10 lb is the weekly programme size, with room for a foliar pass.
Store sealed and dry: Powder that clumps will block the nozzle it was ground fine enough to pass.
