Ruck 18 inch Flat Protection Grille | Galvanized Steel, IP44

A Flat Protection Grille Sized for 18 Inch Duct Big ducts get treated casually and then something nests in them. An 18 in opening is a doorway. Galvanized steel sheet in a flat pressing closes it, rated IP44. At 0.2 lbs it changes nothing about how the duct hangs. Where This Duct Guard Belongs in the Run Fit it wherever the duct ends in open air. On intake it keeps debris off the impeller; on exhaust it stops anything walking back down a stopped fan. It is exclusion, not filtration, and at this diameter that distinction matters more, because fine mesh would cost measurable pressure. Sweep the face clear each season. It seats on a matching Ruck collar without adaptors. This is a mechanical guard and not part of the pressure envelope, so do not expect it to seal anything. Give the fixing a check after the first winter, since large ducts move more than small ones. Key Features Galvanized Steel Sheet: Resists corrosion in humid exhaust air and outdoor terminations. IP44 Rated: Rated against dust ingress and splashing water at the duct mouth. Low-Profile Flat Pressing: Sits close to the collar, so nothing projects into a walkway. 18 in Duct Fit: Matches Ruck 18 in collars and standard 18 in ducting. 0.2 lbs: Light enough that it changes nothing about how the duct is supported. Pest and Debris Exclusion: Stops insects, birds and leaf litter entering an idle duct.
