Ruck 10 inch Intake Filter Box | MERV 5 Mat, Galvanized Steel

Inside the 10 Inch Intake Filter Box MERV 5 is a coarse grade, and that is deliberate. It catches dust, pollen, insects and fibre without the pressure drop a fine filter would put on the intake. The mat sits in a galvanized sheet steel box for 10 in duct, 12 x 12.1 x 7.8 in, weighing 5.9 lbs. Servicing the MERV 5 Intake Filter Toggle fasteners hold the lid, so servicing is tool-free. Ruck's interval is three to six months, though a mat in a dusty room will look ready sooner, and the used media can be recycled rather than binned. It helps to be clear on what the box does not do: this grade is not fine filtration, and a filter on the intake does nothing about odour leaving on the exhaust. The pressure drop is small when clean and grows as it loads. Site it where you can actually open the lid, or the mat will not get changed on schedule. Key Features ISO Coarse 45% / MERV 5 Mat: Coarse on purpose, so it traps debris without strangling the intake. Galvanized Steel Housing: Holds its shape and resists corrosion in a damp intake path. Toggle Fastener: Opens without tools, so mat changes take about a minute. 3 to 6 Month Mat Life: A realistic interval, shorter in a dusty or high-pollen space. Recyclable Mat: The media can be recycled rather than binned. 10 in Duct Fit: Sized for Ruck 10 in components and standard 10 in duct.
