Root Riot Cubes, Bag of 100 | Organic Starter Plugs for Cuttings and Seeds

Root Riot Cubes, Bag of 100 for Bigger Batches This bag holds 100 Root Riot plant starter cubes, enough to fill two 50-cell propagation trays. Hydrodynamics International, the company behind Clonex, supplies them for cloning and seed starting. Each cube is made from natural, organic materials with a spongy texture that keeps air and water in an even balance. A pre-formed hole in the top takes a cutting stem or a seed without any extra prep. The cubes arrive already moist, so a full batch can be stuck the day the bag is opened. They are inoculated with micronutrients and biologically active ingredients that support early root growth. Rooted cubes go straight into soil, coco or hydroponic systems. The 100-count bag suits growers who take cuttings every cycle or run several varieties at once. It weighs about 3.9 lb and stores flat on a shelf between batches. Keeping the bag sealed holds the moisture in until the next round. Using a Rooting Medium for Cuttings at Scale A rooting medium for cuttings works best when every cube starts at the same moisture. Let the bag reach room temperature before you start. Re-wet any dry cubes in lukewarm water, then let them drain until they feel spongy rather than soaked. Prep all the cuttings first, cutting each at an angle just below a node. Trim them down to a couple of leaves so they lose less water while rooting. Dip each stem in rooting gel and slide it into the hole without forcing it. Label the trays by variety as you go, since cuttings look alike for the first week. Mist, then cover with a clear dome to hold humidity, and keep misting as needed. Check moisture by squeezing a cube; a little water should just reach the surface. Water gently and drain if the cubes feel light. Reseal the bag after each batch so the rest stay moist. Transplant once roots poke through the cube walls.
