QuietCool HIGH/LOW/OFF Rocker Switch & Plate | IT-35000, 2 Speed

What a High Low Off Rocker Switch Does on a Two Speed Fan A two-speed fan needs a switch that can tell the motor which winding to energise. An ordinary single-pole switch cannot do that, because it only opens and closes one circuit. This rocker carries three positions, so high, low and off all live under one paddle, in the space a single switch would occupy. Low is the position most people end up using overnight. A whole house fan on high moves a lot of air and makes a lot more noise doing it. Which QuietCool Fan Switch This Actually Fits Check the model first, because this is a brand-specific part rather than a generic three-position switch from an electrical supplier. As a quietcool fan switch it covers the ES-6400, ES-4700, CL-2250, CL-3100 and CL-4700. It runs on 120V AC and ships with its wall plate. Nothing else is needed to finish the opening in the wall around it. Pair it with the IT-30070 8 hour timer and the two work together. The timer decides how long the fan runs, the rocker decides how hard. That combination is what most people actually want from fan control, and it takes two switches rather than one. A 1 year warranty covers it. Wiring instructions ship with the fan itself rather than with the switch, which catches people out when the box arrives on its own. A whole house fan circuit is work for a licensed electrician either way, so hand both parts over together. Key Features Three positions under one paddle: High, low and off, which is what a two-speed motor needs and a single-pole switch cannot give. Fits five QuietCool models: ES-6400, ES-4700, CL-2250, CL-3100 and CL-4700. Wall plate included: Nothing else to source to finish the opening. 120V AC: Standard residential supply, mounted in a normal wall box.
