Plug Converter 110/120v to 220/240v Adapter

5-15P to 6-15P adapter for 240V grow-room equipment The 120V to 240V adapter converts a 120V 5-15P male plug pattern into a 6-15P male pattern for 240V use. Rated up to 240V at 15 amps, it bridges equipment with a 5-15P inlet to a 240V 6-15P receptacle. Use the adapter only on equipment specifically rated for 220-240V operation — never on 120V-only gear. The unit is not ETL or UL listed, so confirm the host equipment's listing before energizing. Body and pins are dimensioned to NEMA standard so the connection seats square in any matching outlet. 5-15P to 6-15P adapter for ballast and fixture switchovers Growers typically reach for this adapter when a 240V ballast or fixture ships with a 120V-style 5-15P inlet. Place the adapter before energizing the host equipment so you can verify the receptacle voltage with a meter. 240V at 15 amps is the maximum rating — exceed it and the adapter pins will run hot and degrade the contact. The adapter is a passive plug pattern converter, not a voltage converter, so it does not step 120V up to 240V. On the equipment side the male 6-15P pattern matches a standard 240V grow-room outlet without rewiring. And the absence of UL/ETL listing means the listed equipment downstream still has to clear inspection on its own. Pair the adapter with a 240V cord like the Smart Volt 20-foot if you need extra reach in a commercial bay. That keeps the wall-side connection at 240V without forcing a long-run extension on the equipment side. Key Features 5-15P to 6-15P pattern: Converts a 120V 5-15P male plug to a 6-15P male pattern for 240V receptacles. 240V at 15A max rating: Limits load to 15 amps at 240V to keep pin contact temperatures in spec. 240V-rated equipment only: Never use on 120V-only gear — host equipment must be rated for 220-240V. NEMA-standard pin geometry: Mates square in any standard 6-15P outlet without play in the connection. Not UL/ETL listed: Verify the host equipment's listing — the adapter itself carries no third-party listing.
