Netafim Oval Tube, 1.25 in, 42 psi, 400 ft Coil A drip system that comes out of the field each season starts with a manifold built to be laid down and picked up again. This coil, model OT1.25-42-400, is a flexible, retrievable flat manifold for drip irrigation. It lies flat on the coil and forms a round manifold once the water pressure comes up. The nominal size is 1.25 in, with a nominal inside diameter of 1.365 in and outside diameter of 1.499 in. Optimum wall thickness is 0.067 in, inside a range of 0.060 to 0.072 in, for a 42 psi rating. Each coil holds 400 ft and weighs about 49 lb, wound on a 15 in high core. The tube is black with orange stripes, which makes it easy to spot across the field. Its flat coil design trims delivery, handling and storage costs. Retrievable row crop drip, submains and water transfer lines are its main uses. It serves as a cost-effective alternative to rigid PVC pipe and to layflat tubing. Connecting Dripline With a Twist-Lock Start Connector Dripline laterals can tie in anywhere along the tube, so row spacing can change with each rotation crop. Twist-lock start connectors join 630 Series and 875 Series thinwall dripperline directly to this tube. Each connector has a 0.400 in barb for the dripline. The 630 Series connector also comes with a built-in valve, part T63042440170-B, for shutting off single rows. All of these fittings install in an 8 mm hole, cut with the PPUNCH8 plastic punch. The result is a secure, leak-proof connection, which vinyl layflat submains struggle to match. Lay the coil out straight and free of twists before punching the takeoff holes. Space the holes to match the bed layout before connecting each lateral. Twelve coils ship on a pallet for larger blocks. The tube carries a seven-year warranty covering workmanship and environmental stress cracking.
