Nature's Solution Organic Sea Kelp 8 oz. Soluble Kelp Powder

Organic Sea Kelp 8 oz for Houseplants, Beds and Small Lawns This is the small bag of Nature's Solution sea kelp, a dry powder that dissolves in water and feeds as a drench or a spray. The label rate is simple: 1 tablespoon per 2.5 gallons of water. Lawns get that mix every 2 weeks, while flowers, shrubs, vegetables, gardens and trees get it every 3–4 weeks. Pour it straight onto the soil at the root zone, or run it through a pump sprayer onto the leaves. For turf, the label works out to 6.5 oz per 1,000 sq ft. The bag makes about 40 gallons of finished feed. It is labeled as allowed for organic production, so it fits organic home gardens without a second thought. Store the bag at room temperature and keep it closed between uses. Kelp powder pulls moisture from humid air and will clump if left open on a potting bench. Stir the solution well and use it the same day. A mix left sitting in a warm sprayer tends to settle and clog fine nozzles. What a Soluble Kelp Powder Adds Between Regular Feedings Sea kelp carries trace minerals and natural growth compounds that most garden fertilizers leave out. It is a supplement rather than a complete plant food. Plants still need a regular fertilizer for the bulk of their nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. Where it shows its value is in steadier color, better recovery after repotting, and tougher lawns heading into summer heat. Houseplant growers can keep this bag on a shelf and mix a single watering can at a time. Covering a whole yard is where the math changes. At the turf rate, this bag handles a little over a thousand square feet, so a full lawn needs the larger size. Treat it as a trace-mineral input. Pair it with your normal feed schedule rather than replacing anything already working.
