MrCool Olympus 18,000 BTU 1.5 Ton Mini Split Heat Pump | Energy Star, 230V

How the MrCool Olympus 18,000 BTU Mini Split Is Built This single-zone ductless system pairs one wall-mounted indoor unit with one outdoor heat pump condenser. It delivers 18,000 BTU of cooling and heating, enough for a room or open space of up to about 750 sq ft. An inverter compressor varies its speed to match the load, holding a set temperature without hard on-off cycling. Efficiency is rated at 21 SEER, 13 EER and 10.4 HSPF, and the system carries Energy Star certification. Heating continues at outdoor temperatures as low as -13 F. Modes include Auto, Cool, Dry, Heat, Fan and Sleep, set from the included remote. A SmartHVAC WiFi module adds phone control, with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant support. The inverter keeps fan and compressor speeds low once the room reaches its set point. It runs on 230V, 60Hz power and ships with a 25 ft line set. Line runs can reach up to 82 ft, and installation is designed for an HVAC technician. Registered, professionally installed systems carry a 7-year compressor and 5-year parts warranty. Running a 1.5 Ton Mini Split in a Grow Room A 1.5 ton mini split fits a larger sealed grow room or greenhouse bay that needs steady cooling and heating all year. Work out the cooling load from the lighting wattage first, then add a margin for hot summer afternoons. Place the indoor head on the wall that lets its air throw run the length of the canopy rather than across it. Pair it with circulation fans under and above the canopy so no corner sits warm and still. During late flower, run Dry mode in the dark period to pull moisture out before it settles on the buds. In winter, let the heat pump carry the room through lights-off so temperatures stay within a few degrees of the day. Use the SmartHVAC schedule to match set points to the light cycle and check them remotely from a phone. Set the outdoor unit on a level pad with clear space around it for airflow. Wash the indoor filters every few weeks during heavy growth, when leaf dust and pollen load up fastest. Ask the installing technician to size the dedicated circuit and confirm the line set run before mounting.
