LuxStar T5 Grow Light 4' x 4 Bulb Fixture. 216W, 6500K Bulbs Included

LuxStar T5 Grow Light, a Four-Tube Fixture for Clones and Veg This is a complete fluorescent fixture: a 4 ft housing, a digital ballast, a reflector and four InterLux 6500K high-output tubes ready to hang. The four tubes together draw 216W at 120V, pulling about 1.96A from the wall. That is a light load, so a single 15A circuit can carry several of these on one propagation rack. The housing measures 47 x 12.2 x 2.25 in and weighs about 17 lb, with a 7 ft power cord. The 6500K tubes put out a cool daylight blue, the vegetative spectrum that keeps cuttings and seedlings short and stocky. The footprint is rated at roughly 5 x 3 ft, which lines up with a standard clone bench or a two-tray shelf. Fluorescent light falls off fast with distance, so it pays to hang the fixture low. Many growers start around 6 to 12 in over fresh cuttings and raise it as the plants put on height. At that height the tubes stay cool enough that new leaves do not scorch. It mounts overhead, vertically or horizontally, so it can also work as side light along a bench. How a 4 Bulb T5 Fixture Earns Its Place in the Room Dual power switches split the tubes into two pairs: half the lamps for freshly stuck clones, all four once roots show. That one switch replaces a dimmer and keeps young cuttings from stressing under full output in the first few days. A 4 bulb t5 fixture also suits mother plants, where steady, cool light keeps them in veg without stretching. Some growers swap two of the cool tubes for warm bloom tubes to broaden the spectrum for small plants finishing on a shelf. Replacement tubes are standard T5 HO lamps of the same length, and the matched Interlux veg and bloom tubes fit those sockets. Here is the honest limit. This is a propagation and veg light, not a flowering light for a full canopy. A modern LED fixture will out-yield it in bloom at the same wall draw. The fixture also carries no ETL or UL listing, which some commercial facilities require on every device. For a home propagation shelf, that output and a quick relamp are exactly what the job calls for. Key Features Four InterLux 6500K Tubes Included: The fixture arrives ready to hang with a vegetative spectrum for clones, seedlings and mothers. Dual Power Switches: Run two tubes or four, which gives fresh cuttings a gentler start before full output. Digital Ballast: Drives all four high-output tubes from one 120V cord without a separate ballast box. Low Heat at Close Range: The tubes can hang a few inches over tender growth without scorching leaves. Standard T5 HO Sockets: Relamping takes minutes, with 6500K or 3000K replacement tubes in the same 4 ft size. Slim 2.25 in Profile: The low housing fits stacked propagation shelves where vertical space is tight.
