Hydrofarm 5 inch Net Cup. Bag of 50, Slotted Mesh Basket

When a Plant Needs a Hydrofarm 5 inch Net Cup Five inches is where a net cup stops being a starter and becomes the container. There is enough medium in one to hold a mature plant upright and to buffer it between irrigations, which the smaller sizes cannot do. The slotted wall works the same way at any size, letting roots out into the nutrient rather than winding them around the inside. Building a Bucket System Around 5 in Net Pots Bucket lids drilled for this size are common in recirculating and deep water builds, and this is usually the last basket a plant sits in. Weight is the thing to plan for. Full of wet clay pebbles and a root mass, one of these carries real load. The lid it sits in has to be rigid enough not to sag. A bag of 50 covers a room of buckets with a few in reserve. Key Features Bag of 50: Enough baskets to fit out a room of buckets and hold a few back as replacements. 5 in size: Large enough to carry a plant to finish rather than starting one and stepping it up. Slotted mesh wall: Roots pass into the nutrient instead of circling, which matters most on long runs. Load bearing shape: A wide lip spreads the weight of a full basket across the lid it sits in. Takes any medium: Clay pebbles are the usual choice at this size, though rockwool and coco both work.
