How the Honeywell HumidiPRO Wires In
This is an HVAC control rather than a plug-in timer. It takes 24 volts alternating current from the furnace or air handler on the C and R terminals. Two U terminals drive the humidifier or the dehumidifier.
Purchase directly from Growers HouseHow the Honeywell HumidiPRO Wires In
This is an HVAC control rather than a plug-in timer. It takes 24 volts alternating current from the furnace or air handler on the C and R terminals. Two U terminals drive the humidifier or the dehumidifier. Two S terminals take the outdoor sensor when one is fitted. The head mounts in a duct or remotely on a wall, whichever suits the room. Setpoints are held separately for each direction, so adding moisture and removing it do not share a number. Ambient limits run from 32 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, at 5 to 90 percent relative humidity, non-condensing. The display is digital with a backlight button on the face. Nothing here plugs into a socket. Sort out the low-voltage supply before anything gets mounted.
What a Digital Humidistat Gives You Over a Dial
A dial has one setpoint and a mechanical element sitting behind it. This holds separate ranges for adding moisture and for taking it away, each adjustable from ten to ninety percent. Wire in the C7089 outdoor sensor and it runs automatically, walking the indoor setpoint down as it gets colder outside. That is window condensation protection, worked from a frost index table rather than guesswork. Leave the sensor off and it stays in manual mode, holding whatever number you set. Automatic behaviour is usually the wrong choice in a grow room. A curve tuned to house windows is not a curve tuned to a canopy. Manual mode with a tight differential is what most rooms actually want. The honest limit is the installation, because this belongs to a ducted system and needs a transformer. A grower without ducted air is better served by an outlet controller.
