What the Hanna pH Checker Actually Resolves The HI98103 reads 0.0 to 14.0 pH, with a resolution of 0.1 pH and an accuracy of plus or minus 0.2 pH at room temperature. Resolution is the whole basis for choosing a pH tester. For a grower holding a reservoir near a target of 5.8, a tenth of a point is usable and the tolerance is workable. Anyone who needs hundredths should be looking at a different tester rather than this one. What it does well is calibrate itself: automatic at one or two points, with the buffer recognised and tagged on the display.
