Growonix Tubing 1/2 Black - 50' length

GrowoniX 1/2 in RO Tubing for High-Flow Water Lines This 50 ft roll of GrowoniX 1/2 in RO tubing is made from Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE), a tougher resin than the standard low- or medium-density poly line found on most filtration kits. It's built from non-contaminating, FDA-compliant materials, carries NSF certification, and meets ASTM D-1693 (10% IGEPAL) for environmental stress-crack resistance, so it holds up to the constant pressure cycling of a reverse osmosis system without crazing at the fittings. The larger 1/2 in outer diameter moves more volume than 1/4 in line, which is what you want feeding high-flow GrowoniX systems and long reservoir runs, and it drops straight into 1/2 in push-to-connect ports with no adapters. Why Black RO Tubing Holds Up in Light-Exposed Runs The opaque black wall is the point here. It interrupts photosynthesis, so algae can't take hold inside any section of line that sees grow-room light. Most growers run the black on feed and waste runs near the membrane housing where light exposure is worst, and keep translucent white for the spots where they actually want to watch flow. The trade-off is you lose that visual check on water clarity, which matters less on a high-volume feed or waste line than a product line. The same LLDPE is rated for cold and intermittent hot water and pairs with quick-connect, compression, and standard barb fittings; this 50 ft roll covers a full system plumb, with 25 ft and 100 ft rolls available for smaller or larger jobs. Key Features LLDPE Construction: Linear low-density polyethylene resists stress cracking and kinking better than standard poly line. 1/2 in Outer Diameter: Larger bore for high-flow RO systems and long feed runs, fits 1/2 in standard and quick-connect fittings. Opaque Black Wall: Blocks light to stop algae growth in runs exposed to grow-room lighting. FDA-Compliant & NSF Certified: Non-contaminating materials safe for drinking-water and nutrient lines. 50 ft Roll: Enough length to plumb a full high-flow system, also offered in 25 ft and 100 ft.
