Height is the specification to check first here, and it is the one that separates this tent from everything else on the shelf. The interior stands 5ft 11in, roughly eight inches shorter than the rest of the range. On a 2ft 7in square footprint that is a consequence rather than a flaw. A tent this narrow goes in a corner, a closet or an alcove, where the ceiling is the binding constraint anyway. Roof cross-members are rated to 100 lb, which on a footprint this size is far more than anything you would hang in it. The frame is powder coated steel, thicker than the generation it replaced, and the corners snap together without tools. Inside, the lining is silver Mylar and the tent fabric reflects 97 percent of radiant heat back into the space. There is a removable waterproof second floor that lifts out for cleaning between crops. The whole thing ships at 28.8 lb.
Running a 2.5x2.5 Grow Tent Without Cooking It
The short ceiling is what shapes every decision inside. A fixture that hangs low eats into the space a plant has to fill. The sensible pairing is a slim LED bar mounted flush to the cross-members rather than a reflector on hangers. That leaves most of the height to the canopy. Heat is the other consequence of a small sealed volume, because there is very little air in here to absorb a temperature spike. An inline fan and a carbon filter will not fit inside alongside a plant. That means mounting the filter outside and ducting through the ports. The adjustable ducting attachments make that simple, and they take common duct diameters without clamps or reducers. Be honest with yourself about plant count before adding anything else. This is a one-plant space, or a clone and mother corner, and trying to run four in it produces a tangle rather than a harvest. Anyone who wants headroom for a stretched plant should look at the taller models instead.
