Grodan Gro-Block Improved GR6.5 Pallet | 2,448 Blocks, Loose

What the Grodan Gro-Block Improved GR6.5 Does Each block measures 10 x 10 x 6.5 cm, which Grodan prints as 4 x 4 x 2.5 in, with a centre hole moulded in. The GR6.5 designation is the metric height, so there is 6.5 cm of wool under the plant. This is the loose-on-pallet pack, 2,448 blocks to a pallet with no case cartons and no strip wrapping. Pallet weight is 322.1 lb and the pallet measures 48.25 x 48.25 x 52.25 in. Grodan builds these with an advanced wetting agent and an engineered wool structure. The point of both is even water content and even EC through the full height of the block. A block that wets evenly is a block you can steer. Raise or drop the water content and the whole volume responds together, instead of leaving a wet base under a dry crown. That is what lets a grower push vegetative or generative through irrigation alone. The wool also roots through quickly, which shortens the time a plant spends in propagation. Grodan makes this block for controlled-environment indoor and greenhouse commercial production. 4 Inch Rockwool Cubes Loose on a Pallet Taking 4 inch rockwool cubes loose on a pallet is a handling decision rather than a product difference. The wool is the same as the cased version, and what changes is the work at the receiving end. No cartons means nothing to break down and nothing to recycle after a transplant day. It also means the blocks arrive unwrapped, so each one is independent from the moment it leaves the stack. Independent blocks suit a tray system where spacing is set by the tray rather than by a strip of six. They also suit a propagation bench where blocks get moved one at a time as they root through. The trade is that loose blocks need somewhere clean to live between the pallet and the bench. A pallet this tall wants breaking down into trays in one pass rather than picking from over a week. Soak before planting and let each block drain to the water content you intend to start at. Stone wool is inert and carries no buffer of its own, so the first solution through it sets the root zone chemistry. Hold the pH of that first soak where the crop wants it and the block will keep the number. Blocks standing in a warm room with no plant in them grow algae on the top face, so stage only what gets used. Key Features 2,448 blocks per pallet: Loose packed, with no cartons and no strip wrap. 10 x 10 x 6.5 cm block: Printed by Grodan as 4 x 4 x 2.5 in, with a centre hole. Advanced wetting agent: Water spreads through the full height instead of pooling low. Even WC and EC: The whole block responds together when irrigation changes. Roots through quickly: Shortens the propagation phase before transplant. Inert stone wool: Carries no buffer, so your solution sets the root zone. 322.1 lb pallet: Measuring 48.25 x 48.25 x 52.25 in on a standard footprint.
