What the Titan Sensor Adapter Cable Connects
This short lead joins two control systems that use different plugs. One end fits the Gavita Master Controller EL3, and the other fits a Titan Controls sensor.
Purchase directly from Growers HouseWhat the Titan Sensor Adapter Cable Connects
This short lead joins two control systems that use different plugs. One end fits the Gavita Master Controller EL3, and the other fits a Titan Controls sensor. It connects the first sensor in the chain, either the Tali 3-in-1 VPD sensor or the Triton substrate sensor. Any further Titan sensors link onward from that first unit, so a single adapter serves the whole chain. The Tali reads temperature, humidity and air pressure, then calculates vapour pressure deficit for the room. The Triton reads EC, volumetric water content and temperature in the growing media. With those readings on the EL3, lighting, climate and irrigation decisions come from one screen. The EL3 accepts up to 16 sensors in total. The cable runs about 15.75 in (40 cm), enough to reach from the controller to a nearby sensor or splitter. It carries Gavita part number HGC906729.
Setting Up Titan Sensors on a Gavita EL3 Controller
A Gavita EL3 controller with Titan sensors gives one place to watch light, VPD and root-zone data together. Power down the controller before connecting or moving any sensor cable. Plug the adapter into the EL3 first, then into the first Titan sensor in the run. Daisy-chain the remaining sensors from there, keeping each lead clear of ballast and mains cables. Hang the Tali VPD sensor at canopy height, out of direct light and fan blast, for readings that match what plants feel. Push the Triton probe fully into a representative block or pot, away from drippers and the container wall. Power up and confirm each sensor appears on the EL3 touchscreen before relying on its data. Label the adapter end so it is not swapped for a lighting interconnect during maintenance. Check connectors every few runs, since humidity and nutrient splash can corrode contacts. Set up carefully, the room's lighting and climate data live on one controller instead of three separate displays.
