Futurola KB300 Reefer/Slender Filling Device. 98/26 Cones, 0.6 g

The Futurola KB300 Slender Filling Device in a Mixed-Size Room Most production rooms run more than one cone size, and the Knockbox was built around that. One base takes several plates, so the machine is the fixed cost and the plates are the variable one. This plate covers the Slender Reefer 98/26, the cone that carries both of those names. Capacity is near 0.6 grams per cone. The 98/26 figure alone does not identify a paper, so check the format name on the pack. Slender uses the Plus unload station. That pairing matters when a room batches by cone, because the unload hardware stays put across two of the three sizes. The part supplied is the device alone. Base, controller and power cord, spill tray, mix tray and unload station are all separate. A complete KB300 Slender kit, which is the device plus a mix tray, weighs 12 pounds. A bare device also arrives without the mix tray that the full kit includes. What a Knockbox Plate Swap Actually Costs in Time A knockbox plate swap takes about a minute with no tools. The real cost is the recalibration that follows it. Fill depth shifts when the funnel geometry changes, so the first tray after a swap should be weighed rather than trusted. Budget five to ten minutes of real time per size change on a production shift. That is why most rooms batch a whole run on one cone and swap between runs instead of mid-shift. The narrow bore on this size is the fussiest about grind. Coarse material bridges in the funnel and the cone finishes light, which a slim paper hides well. Run a finer grind here and let vibration do the packing. Storage matters more than it sounds. Keep the plate flat and clean the funnels with isopropyl, because a warped plate loads one row short. The upside of this size is longevity of choice: the 98 mm cone is supported on the Knockbox 500 too. Key Features Fits the Slender Reefer 98/26: Reefer and Slender are one format, near 0.6 g per cone. One base, several plates: The machine is the fixed cost and the plates are the variable one, so a mixed-size room needs one Knockbox. Plus unload station grade: The grade for this cone size. Tool-free swap in about a minute: Budget five to ten minutes in practice, because fill depth needs rechecking after a change. Supported on the KB500 too: This cone size carries forward if the machine is upgraded. A plate, not a machine: Base, controller, spill tray, mix tray and unload station are separate components.
