FoxFarm Bush Doctor Kelp Me Kelp You (.5-0-.5) Seaweed Plant Food - 1 Quart

Bush Doctor Kelp Me Kelp You in a Quart Bottle The quart is the easiest way to run FoxFarm's seaweed supplement in a tent, a few containers or a vegetable bed. It is the same formula as the larger jugs, guaranteed at 0.5-0-0.5. The label also lists 0.20% copper and 0.30% zinc as water-soluble micronutrients. FoxFarm derives it from kelp meal, kelp extract, potassium hydroxide, copper sulfate, zinc sulfate and soy protein hydrolysate. The seaweed is Ascophyllum nodosum. It carries an OMRI listing and is registered with the CDFA as an Organic Input Material. That keeps it usable in certified organic gardens. The bottle holds 32 fl oz (946 mL). At the label rate, that treats roughly 95 to 190 gallons of water. For one grow tent on a biweekly schedule, it lasts several runs. Shake it well before each use. How to Use This Seaweed Plant Food Mix 1–2 teaspoons (5–10 mL) per gallon of fresh water. For in-ground and container plants, drench the soil thoroughly and repeat every other week. Run it through the vegetative cycle and stop at the first sign of bud development, as the label directs. In hydroponic reservoirs, the rate is the same, and FoxFarm asks for a system flush every two weeks. It works with FoxFarm fertilizers or any other nutrient program. Growers who spray it on leaves in veg should end those passes once flowers start forming. Because the nitrogen and potash are so light, it is a supplement and not a feed. Watch the copper and zinc if you already use a separate micronutrient product. Vegetable gardeners use it on tomatoes, peppers and greens as well as on houseplants. A gallon jug makes more sense once more than a couple of beds are on the schedule. Store it capped, out of sun and away from freezing temperatures.
