EcoPlus Eco Air 1 Plus Air Pump | 1 Outlet, 2 W, 44 GPH, Oil-Free

What the EcoPlus Eco Air 1 Plus Delivers This compact pump puts out 44 GPH of air through one outlet while drawing just 2 W. That works out to roughly 2.8 litres a minute, a good match for a single air stone. It runs oil-free, so there is nothing to top up and no risk of oil reaching the nutrient solution. EcoPlus builds the cylinders and pistons from durable materials meant for long, continuous duty. The housing is small enough to sit on a shelf or the lid of a tote. Each pump measures about 4.6 x 6.8 x 3.4 in and weighs around 1.1 lb. At this wattage it can run day and night with little effect on the power bill. Steady bubbles keep dissolved oxygen up and help stop roots from sitting in still, stale water. The pump carries a one-year warranty. Airline tubing and stones are added separately, so the setup can be matched to the container. Running a Single Outlet Air Pump in a Small System A single outlet air pump is the simplest way to oxygenate one container. Typical homes for it are a 5 gal DWC bucket, a small cloning tub or a mother-plant reservoir. Set the pump above the waterline, or fit a check valve, so water cannot siphon back if the power drops. Run the airline to a stone sitting on the bottom of the container, where the bubbles have the full depth to rise. A cylinder stone spreads air well in a round bucket, while a disc stone suits a flat tub. Leave a small drip loop in the power cord so stray water runs off before it reaches the outlet. Place the pump on a folded towel or foam pad if it sits on a hard shelf, which keeps vibration hum down. Clean or replace the stone when the bubble pattern turns patchy, since mineral buildup cuts airflow. Check the tubing at each reservoir change for kinks and cracks. Warm water holds less oxygen, so this air supply matters most in the summer months. Set up this way, it runs quietly for crop after crop.
