The JETCOM 132 Mascontrol Pump Runs Without a Pressure Tank
Most pressure setups need a tank, a switch, and somewhere to put both. This one replaces all three with a controller threaded onto the discharge port.

Most pressure setups need a tank, a switch, and somewhere to put both. This one replaces all three with a controller threaded onto the discharge port. The MC/USA 1 watches pressure and flow, starting the pump when pressure falls below 31.9 psi. It shuts the pump down roughly 8 seconds after flow stops. Anything over 0.21 gpm is enough to keep it running. Underneath sits the same self-priming hydraulic end: 1.36 HP, 2.6 to 21 gpm, 158 ft of head and 26 ft of suction lift. The controller is rated to 15 gpm, so that is the practical ceiling on this pairing. Run-dry protection cuts power when the suction line loses water. That is the failure that kills a jet pump fastest.
Wiring and Plumbing a Constant Pressure Water Pump Correctly
Wire it for 230V if the choice is yours. The controller is rated 16 FLA at 115V and this pump draws 14.7 A on that leg. That leaves under an amp and a half of headroom. On 230V the same pump pulls 7.52 A against a 20 FLA rating, a far more comfortable margin. Mount the pump horizontally, and mount the controller on a vertical riser with its electronics box level. A controller cannot compensate for a suction leak; it will retry, fail to build pressure, and lock out. The controller body is reinforced polyamide with a stainless steel flow valve and an EPDM diaphragm. Its NEMA 12 enclosure tolerates a damp pump corner. Two limits are worth knowing. A controller-driven pump starts and stops on demand, so it is the wrong choice where you want the pump held on by a timer. And on a system with small persistent leaks it will cycle on every drip, where a small pressure tank would have absorbed them.
Key Features
MC/USA 1 Controller: Starts the pump at 31.9 psi and stops it about 8 seconds after flow ends, with no tank or switch to mount.
Run-Dry Protection: Cuts power when the suction line loses prime, before the mechanical seal cooks itself.
115V/230V Dual Voltage: Runs on either supply, though 230V leaves far more current headroom against the controller rating.
Self-Priming Hydraulic End: Draws from 26 ft (8 m) down and clears air from the suction line without hand-priming.
Technopolymer Wet End: Body, impeller, diffuser and Venturi resist nutrient solution that pits cast-iron over a season.
NEMA 12 Controller Housing: Reinforced polyamide, AISI 304 flow valve and EPDM diaphragm hold up in humid pump rooms.
