Clone Shipper Plant Shipping Module. LED Lit, Vented, Neoprene Puck

Inside the Clone Shipper Plant Shipping Module This plant shipping module is a rigid two-piece container that carries a rooted clone or young plant with a light on above it. A lower pot holds the plant in its growing medium, and a removable lid closes over the top. An LED on the lid shines down on the leaves and keeps the plant in vegetative growth during transit. Air vents let the plant breathe on the road. A neoprene puck slides over the stem and presses down onto the medium. That puck keeps soil, coco or rockwool in place and stops spills if the parcel tips onto its side. The pot and lid support the roots, stem and leaves, so the plant arrives ready to transplant. The module is reusable from one shipment to the next. Each module carries a single plant. Packing a Clone Shipping Container A clone shipping container works best when the cutting is already rooted and growing. Water the plant a few hours before packing so the medium is moist but not dripping. Set the plant in the pot, slide the puck over the stem and press it down onto the medium. Switch the LED on before closing the lid, and confirm it lights the leaves. Seat the lid squarely on the pot so the plant stands upright inside. Pack the module upright in an outer carton with padding around it. Mark the carton this side up so handlers keep the light above the plant. Ship early in the week so the parcel does not sit in a depot over a weekend. Check the forecast along the route, since extreme heat or cold in a truck stresses any live plant. On arrival, open the lid, check the leaves and transplant into fresh medium soon after. Give the plant a day under gentle light before moving it under a full-strength fixture.
