The whole filter weighs roughly 9 lbs, so it hangs easily from tent bars or a ceiling hook. Can-Filters uses aluminum for the top and bottom caps to keep the weight down. The outer shell is 51% open perforation, which lets air reach the whole carbon bed without a big pressure drop. A pre-filter sleeve comes fitted from the factory.
