Boveda 62% 4g Unwrapped Bulk - 600 Pack

Boveda 4g 62% Unwrapped Bulk Humidity Control Packs, 600 Count The thing that catches people out with unwrapped bulk is when the clock starts. It starts when the case opens, not when a pack goes into a jar. Every one of the 600 begins equalizing with the room at that moment. Each 4 g pack holds a half ounce at 62% RH, adding or pulling moisture as a sealed jar drifts. Weight retention runs 15% higher than material stored without it. At 2" x 2" the pack lies flat under an eighth or quarter jar lid without eating volume. None of that helps if the case has been sitting open on a bench for a month. Unwrapped 600 Count Bulk for Continuous Fill Unwrapped bulk carries the lower per-unit cost. The trade is real, and it draws a hard line around where this configuration belongs. It is right for a single continuous packaging run and wrong for a case you dip into across six months. Reseal leftovers in an airtight container and they hold, but leave the case open and they will not. The individually wrapped version of the same pack solves that if your fill happens in batches. The other boundary is retail. An unwrapped pack cannot sit on a shelf and a customer has nothing to read, so this is a line product only. For packaging lines it is the more economical answer by a clear margin. Key Features 62% Two-Way Control: Adds moisture to a container that has dried out and pulls it back when the lid comes off. Protects 1/2 oz (14 g): Sized so the pack has capacity in hand rather than running at its limit. Lower Cost per Pack: No individual overwrap, which is where the saving against the wrapped case comes from. Pure Water Vapor Only: A reverse-osmosis membrane means nothing but water crosses into your material. Food-Grade Fill: Salt, purified water and a food-grade thickener, safe resting directly against contents. 600 Packs per Case: Sized for a continuous run rather than occasional single-jar use. No Activation Required: Active on arrival, so there is no soaking, charging or maintenance step. Tactile Replacement Signal: The pack turns rigid when spent, so no indicator card is needed. SKU MB62-04 What Does Unwrapped Bulk Mean in Practice? No individual overwrap, so every pack activates when the case is opened. Lower cost per unit, best used in one continuous run. How Much Does a 4g Boveda Cover? A half ounce, or 14 g of material. Step up to 8 g for a full ounce or 67 g for a pound. Can Unwrapped Packs Be Stored Part-Used? Yes, but only sealed. Move leftovers into an airtight container or bag, otherwise they discharge into the room instead of your product. How Long Do These Last Once In Use? Two to four months in a sealed jar, on a roughly three-month replacement cycle depending on how often it is opened.
