Botanicare Reservoir Lid -- 40 Gallon Resevoir Lid. White

What a Botanicare 40 Gallon Reservoir Lid Adds to the Tank This is the cover on its own, 39.375 by 35.375 by 1.875 in and 7 lbs. It is formed in the same ABS as the tank it sits on. The access port is what matters day to day. Nutrients, a probe or a top-up line go through it without the lid coming off. Closing the tank also shuts light out, which is the simplest algae control there is. Fitting the Lid to a 40 Gallon Reservoir and Nothing Else Size is the whole story here, since a lid cut for one tank will not seat on another capacity in the line. Check the tank size before adding this to the pile, since the reservoir itself is sold separately. Evaporation drops once a tank is covered. That shows up as steadier EC between top-ups rather than as anything you can see. Key Features 39.375 x 35.375 in: Cut for the 40 gallon tank specifically, so it seats properly rather than resting on the rim. Built-in access port: Feed, test or top up without lifting the lid, which is where most spills start. Blocks light: A covered tank grows far less algae than an open one, with no additive involved. Cuts evaporation: Steadier EC between top-ups, since less water leaves the tank as vapor. White ABS, 7 lbs: Same recycled-core material as the reservoir, light enough to lift one-handed.
