AWOL (XXL) DIVER Duffle Bag | 20 x 20 x 40 in, About 262 Litres

What the AWOL XXL Diver Duffle Bag Actually Holds Outside dimensions on this one are 20 by 20 by 40 inches. That is about 262 litres of gross volume. That puts it at the top of the size range on the same hardware. Construction follows the DIVER pattern, which is a water resistant shell with air tight zippers. Carry is by a velcro neoprene padded handle, with two side buckles and two over the top. The buckles earn their place at this volume more than at any other. A bag this size filled with dense material puts real outward pressure on a zip line. Compression straps move that load into webbing, which is where it belongs. Odour control is fabric and seal, with the carbon insert available as a separate part. A 12 by 12 inch carbon pad insert is sold on its own if adsorption is wanted. That is the same insert the rest of the AWOL range takes. A 262 Litre Bag and the Courier Size Limit Volume is the obvious number on a bag this size, and it is not the one that bites. Most parcel carriers apply a girth rule, measuring length plus twice the width plus twice the height. On a 20 by 20 by 40 bag that comes to 120 linear inches before anything is packed. Standard parcel services generally stop around 130 girth inches, so a full one sits close to the ceiling. Freight rules are different, and a pallet does not care. Weight is the second limit and it is the human one. A bag of this volume filled with dried flower is awkward rather than impossible. Filled with anything denser it becomes a two-person lift, and one top handle is not a two-person fitting. Pack to a weight you can carry rather than to the volume available. That is the single most useful habit with a bag at the top of a size range. Keep the zip track clean and lubricated, because a long zip has more to go wrong. Store it empty and loose rather than folded flat, so the sealing faces keep their shape. Key Features 20 x 20 x 40 inches: About 262 litres of gross internal volume.
