Active Aqua Chiller 1in Fitting Kit for AACH50 & AACH50HP | AACHF5

The 1 in Fitting Kit Is the Widest Bore in the Line An AACH50 takes three different fitting sizes, and this is the top of that range. Half-inch, three-quarter and one-inch kits all bolt to the same chiller. The decision is made by the tubing, the pump and the length of the run. One inch is the answer on a big reservoir with a strong pump and a long circuit. Every reduction shows up as head pressure the pump has to overcome. It also covers the AACH50HP, which is easy to miss since both models take the same kit. Sizing AACH50HP Chiller Fittings Against Your Pump The rule is simple enough to apply standing at the reservoir. Match the chiller fittings to the narrowest thing already in the loop, and if that is one inch throughout, come here. If the pump outlet is 3/4 in, a one-inch kit at the chiller gives you nothing, because the restriction lives upstream. Larger fittings never add cooling either. The AACH50 puts out what it is rated for and the fittings only decide how hard the pump works to move water through it. One-inch tubing is stiff and unforgiving in a cold room. Warm the ends before seating them, and get the clamps behind the barb ridge rather than on top. Key Features 1 in barbed fittings: The widest bore Active Aqua offers for this chiller, for loops already plumbed in one-inch. Fits AACH50 and AACH50HP: Covers both the standard and high-performance versions of the 50-class chiller. Lowest restriction of the three sizes: On a long circuit with a strong pump, the fittings stop being the narrow point in the system. Model AACHF5: The manufacturer part number, so it matches what a service tech or a parts list will ask for. Part of a three-size range: Half-inch, three-quarter and one-inch kits all fit the same chiller, chosen by your tubing.
