Active Aqua Air Pump, 1 Outlet, 2 W, 3.2 L/min (50 GPH)

What the Active Aqua Air Pump Is Built For The AAPA3.2L is a compact electric air pump for a single air line. It is rated at 3.2 liters per minute, roughly 50 gallons per hour of air. Power draw is 2 W at 120 V, about 0.02 A, so it can run around the clock for very little. A multi-level muffler keeps the noise at 40 dB or less. Special synthetic rubber parts help the pump hold a steady output and pressure as it ages. The single outlet takes standard 1/4 in vinyl airline tubing. The cord is 4 ft long. The pump weighs 0.8 lb and comes in a 7.2 by 4.3 by 3.1 in box that ships at 0.96 lb. It carries ETL registration and a one year warranty. Its UPC for stock matching is 638104000499. Where a Single Outlet Air Pump Fits Best A single outlet air pump is the right size for one container and one stone. Typical jobs include a five gallon DWC bucket, a small cloner, a seedling tray reservoir or a nutrient tote. It is sized for reservoirs of roughly 10 to 15 gallons. Fit a fine-pore stone so the small airflow turns into plenty of tiny bubbles. Keep the tubing run short, because every extra foot and every inch of depth takes away output. Set the pump on a shelf above the water line. If it has to sit lower, add an inline check valve so solution cannot siphon back when the power goes out. The low noise makes it easy to live with in a spare room or a grow tent near the house. Swap the air stone when the bubbles turn coarse or uneven, usually every few months. Wipe dust off the case so the intake stays clean. Multi-bucket systems and large reservoirs need more air than one small outlet can give.
