Active Aqua AAPA45L Air Pump 6 Outlets. 45 L/min, 713 GPH, 20W

What the Active Aqua Commercial Air Pump Moves, and on How Little Power The rated output is 45 L/min, which converts to 713 GPH of air, and it does that on 20W. That combination is the reason this pump keeps turning up in commercial rooms. Current draw tops out at 0.17A on a 120V supply, so a bank of them will sit on one circuit. Maximum noise is 45 decibels, which is quiet enough for a room people work in. Rated pressure is above 0.02 MPa, and that is what pushes air down a long line into a deep reservoir. The unit weighs 3.2 lbs and arrives twelve to a case. Inside the aluminium alloy case is an electromagnetic compressor with a multi-level muffler, and the cylinder and piston use wear and tear resistant material. Six outlets come off a stainless steel and copper manifold, and each one carries its own valve. That last point matters more than it sounds. You can run two stones now and six later without touching the pump. Warranty is one year, and the barcode is 638104000581. Sizing a Hydroponic Air Pump to Your Stones and Your Tubing Two numbers decide whether a pump suits a system, and neither of them is the outlet count. The first is how much air each diffuser wants, and the second is how far down the water that air has to travel. A deep reservoir costs pressure, and a long run of thin line costs more again. This model sits in the middle of its family for exactly that reason. The step up is the eight outlet version at 70 L/min and 60W, and above that sits the twelve outlet at 110 L/min and 112W. Both of those jump to 60 decibels, so the quiet running here is part of what you give up by going larger. Tubing is where people get caught, because two sizes are in play. The line from the pump to the manifold is 1/4 in inside diameter, which is 3/8 in on the outside. The line from the manifold to each stone is 3/16 in inside, or 1/4 in outside. Measure the inside diameter before cutting line and every fitting will seat. One honest limit: this is an aeration pump and not a water pump, so it will not lift or circulate nutrient solution. Key Features 45 L/min of air: Which is 713 GPH, delivered on only 20 watts of power. Six valved outlets: Each outlet opens and closes on its own at the manifold. Maximum 45 decibels: Quiet enough for a room people spend working hours inside. Pressure above 0.02 MPa: Enough to push air to the floor of a deep reservoir. 0.17A on a 120 volt supply: So a whole bank of these will sit on one circuit. Aluminium alloy case: With a multi-level muffler and wear resistant cylinder and piston. Stainless steel and copper manifold: Not a plastic divider, so the valves hold their setting. Tubing sizes: A quarter inch inside at the pump, three sixteenths at the stones.
