Active Aqua 115 Gallon Reservoir Cover, White | 52.75 x 47.25 in, Porthole

How the Active Aqua 115 Gallon Reservoir Cover Is Built This cover is the matching lid for the Active Aqua 115 gallon premium white reservoir, part HGRES115PWC. It measures 52.75 by 47.25 by 1.25 in. The panel is slightly convex and ribbed for strength, which keeps a wide sheet from sagging into the tank. It fits inside the reservoir top, so any water that collects on the lid drains back into the reservoir rather than onto the floor. A built-in access porthole allows top-offs, level checks and probe readings without lifting the lid. The cover for that porthole is a separate part. Multiple marked drill points let a grower add pass-throughs for meters, float valves and pump cords. The premium reservoir system is molded from high impact white ABS with UV resistance. Covering a tank this size keeps light off the solution, which holds back algae and cuts evaporation. Setting Up a Premium Reservoir Cover A premium reservoir cover does its best work on a tank that runs every day. Plan the pass-throughs before drilling, so pump cords, return lines and float valves each get a clean path. Drill only at the marked access points and deburr each hole so cords do not chafe. Use grommets on cord holes to keep light and dust out. Add the porthole cover if the reservoir sits under strong light or in a dusty room. Check that the lid drops fully inside the rim after every cleaning. A lid that rides on a cord or hose can let light in along one edge. Lift it with two people, holding the long sides, since a panel this wide flexes when carried from one end. Wash it with the same mild cleaner used for the tank between runs. The cover is sized for the Active Aqua 115 gallon premium reservoir, so measure any other tank before relying on the fit.
