Active Air COSYS CO2 Regulator + Timer | 0.2-2 cu ft/hr, 10x10 ft

What the Active Air CO2 System with Timer Delivers, and How This is a complete system rather than a bare regulator. A regulator body mounts on the CO2 cylinder, a solenoid valve opens and closes the gas, and a timer decides when. Output is adjustable from 0.2 to 2.0 cubic feet per hour on the flow meter. A gauge on the body reads the pressure left in the cylinder, which is how you know a refill is due. There is a pressure relief valve as well, standard on a cylinder regulator and there for good reason. Electrically it draws 14W at 120V, so an ordinary outlet runs it. The cord is 8 ft long, which decides how far the cylinder can sit from a socket. The whole unit weighs 3.5 lbs. Hydrofarm guarantee their CO2 systems for three years to the original owner. The timer supplied with it is their dual outlet TM01015D. One point about that timer is worth being clear on. It drives the solenoid from a clock, so gas is released on a schedule. Sizing Grow Tent CO2 to a Room of Ten by Ten This one covers an area up to 10 x 10 feet. Below that it is comfortable, and a tent sits well inside it. Above that the gas cannot keep up, because 2 cubic feet an hour is the ceiling on the flow meter. The larger version, the COSYS20, carries the same timer and a much higher flow range. The system runs between 32 and 120 degrees Fahrenheit, at 20% to 80% relative humidity. A sealed room sitting at the top of that humidity band is close to the limit. Then there is the caution that matters more than any specification in the table. This system does not read CO2 in the air. It releases gas on a schedule, so it cannot hold a target in parts per million. For that you want a controller with a sensor, and this regulator will work behind one. Hydrofarm build these to run from CO2 controllers and monitors as well as from their own timers. Key Features Regulator, solenoid and timer: The three parts of a gas system supplied as one package. 0.2 to 2 cu ft per hour: Adjustable on the flow meter rather than fixed at one rate. Cylinder pressure gauge: Reads what is left in the tank, so refills are not a guess. Pressure relief valve fitted: Standard safety hardware on a high pressure cylinder regulator. 14W at 120V: An ordinary outlet runs it, with an 8 ft cord to the unit. Rated to ten by ten feet: Above that area the flow ceiling becomes the limiting factor. Works behind a controller: Hydrofarm build these to run from CO2 controllers and monitors. Three year guarantee: Hydrofarm cover their CO2 systems to the original owner.
