Active Air Carbon Filter 8 x 24 in | 750 CFM, Australian Virgin Carbon

Inside the Active Air Carbon Filter 8 x 24 Stepping up to 8 in duct moves a lot more air, and this filter is sized for that jump. It is 24 in long, fitted with an 8 in attached flange and rated at 750 CFM. A 1.8 in bed of virgin activated Australian carbon fills the cylinder, machine packed to avoid thin spots. The carbon adsorbs volatile organic compounds, trapping odour on its porous surface instead of sending it outdoors. Powder-coated aluminium tops and bases keep it light for a filter this size. A pre-filter sleeve is included to keep dust from coating the carbon. Life expectancy runs up to two years, depending on runtime and humidity. Boxed, it measures 13 x 13 x 26 in and ships at about 25.4 lb. Its compact length still fits under most tent ceilings, even with a large light hanging nearby. That balance of airflow and size is why it suits so many mid-size setups, from a crowded tent to a spare-bedroom flower room. Scaling Up With an 8 Inch Carbon Filter An 8 inch carbon filter like this fits a 5 x 5 tent, a 4 x 8 tent or a small room running two lights. Pair it with an inline fan of the same duct size, at or below the filter's rating, ideally on a speed controller. Most growers pull air through the filter, with the fan downstream, so the motor sees clean air. Hang it high where heat and odour gather, using rope ratchets rated for its weight. Run the shortest duct path possible, since long runs and tight bends cut real airflow. Rinse the pre-filter every few weeks, and dry it fully before it goes back on. Keep humidity under control late in flower, because wet air shortens carbon life. A fan much bigger than the filter pushes air through too fast for full scrubbing. When odour slips out at normal speed, the carbon is done and the unit should be replaced. Kept within its rating, it handles a busy mid-size room without fuss. A spare pre-filter on the shelf makes cleaning day painless. Key Features 750 CFM rating: Matches 8 in inline fans in mid-size tents and rooms. 8 in attached flange: Connects straight to standard 8 in duct and fan collars. 1.8 in virgin carbon bed: Machine-packed Australian granular carbon with no thin spots. Pre-filter included: Protects the bed from dust and extends its life. Up to 2 years of life: Long service with sensible humidity control.
