Lineage Lavender strain seeds Lavender comes from crossing Super Skunk, Afghani, Hawaiian and South Asian Indica, producing a mostly Indica strain (60% Indica / 40% Sativa). It tends to show a herbal, spicy and sweet flavor with a strong, indica-leaning body high. It also carries a Medium THC of 20%, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a happy, relaxing experience. Strains similar to Lavender include Purple Kush, known for its earthy, floral aroma and calming effects; Purple Haze, a blend of Purple Thai and Haze with a similar aromatic profile and a more cerebral effect; Granddaddy Purple, with a sweet, floral aroma and relaxing properties akin to Lavender; and Blueberry, noted for its fruity taste and physically relaxing effects. Each offers its own character while sharing the aromatic richness and relaxing effects reminiscent of Lavender. Origin Lavender is celebrated for a unique genetic profile that blends robust resilience with a distinctive aroma, drawn from its Super Skunk, Afghani, Hawaiian and South Asian Indica heritage. That mix of landrace and hybrid genetics is what gives the strain its hardiness and its rich, spicy-sweet character. Well developed by both American and European breeders, Lavender is sought after for its high quality and reliability in cultivation. Its diverse background makes it adaptable across a range of climates and a versatile choice for both novice and experienced growers. Lavender Strain Awards Lavender has long been recognized for its distinctive terpene profile and premium flower quality. At the High Times Cannabis Cup 2005, it earned 1st Place for Best Coffeeshop Flower, standing out among top-tier entries in one of the industry’s most competitive categories. That international win, alongside its consistency, bag appeal and enduring popularity among growers and judges, has cemented Lavender’s reputation as a benchmark indica-dominant strain. Lavender Strain Seeds Sativa or Indica? Lavender is predominantly Indica (60% Indica / 40% Sativa), renowned for its deeply relaxing effects and dense, colorful buds. That dominance shows in its robust growth structure and the potent, soothing effects typical of indica varieties, which makes it a favorite for consistent, high-quality plants ideal for evening use. While primarily indica, some phenotypes show sativa-like traits, such as a slightly longer flowering time and a more cerebral effect. This genetic diversity makes Lavender versatile enough to suit a range of preferences, meeting both medicinal and recreational needs effectively. Lavender Effects Lavender is well regarded for its potent indica effects, offering a profound sense of relaxation, which makes it an excellent choice for anyone seeking relief from anxiety, arthritis and insomnia. Its effects are often described as calming and therapeutic, a tranquil escape backed by stable genetics that deliver consistently. On top of that relaxation, Lavender brings a happy, mildly euphoric lift that brightens the mood, which is a big part of why it is popular with those managing stress-related conditions. This blend of physical calm and gentle upliftment reflects the strain’s complex genetics and underlines its appeal in both medicinal and recreational contexts. Germinating Lavender Strain seeds To ensure a robust start for your Lavender cannabis seeds, proper germination is important. Blimburn Seeds advises a specific method to maximize seed viability and health from the outset. Set Up Your Germination Station: Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart. Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location. Monitoring: Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours. Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing. Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 70-90ºF in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 7. Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them. Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines. Please do not use alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products. Lavender Seeds Flowering Time Lavender typically flowers in 8 to 10 weeks, a standard window for many indica-dominant hybrids. This period lets each plant reach its full potential in both size and cannabinoid production, and the phase is predictable enough to plan the cultivation cycle with precision. Properly managed, the plants produce dense, resinous flowers, often with the beautiful lavender-purple hue that gives the strain its name. Exact timing can vary slightly with environmental factors and technique, but the genetic stability of Lavender seeds keeps those variations small, for a reliable and rewarding grow. How to grow Lavender Strain Seeds? Lavender strain seeds can be grown indoors or outdoors under optimal conditions, to avoid any problems during their development. Although they are compact, robust and moderately easy to grow, we should always prevent any pests. You can use different growing methods to retain and enhance the terpenes and flavors of your Feminized Lavender buds. Use a quality substrate. Perlite, peat or coco coir are ideal for moisture retention. Thanks to the experience of our customers with our Feminized Lavender seeds, we know that we can increase yields by up to 20%. For optimal indoor cultivation, Blimburn Seeds advises wide, vertical spaces and the use of the ScrOG method to obtain a uniform canopy and increase the size of the lower flowers. If you plan to grow our Feminized seeds outdoors, we have developed a grow guide for optimal cultivation in any area of the world. Remember that our cannabis plants also need good nutrients as seedlings, in their vegetative period and finally in their flowering period. When you grow outdoors, choose the best date for your crop and a place where the plants receive the most hours of sunshine. If you prefer to grow indoors, use good tents, textile pots, led lighting, an air extractor to circulate clean air and, of course, a good carbon filter to avoid problems with neighbors or the law. Keep daytime temperatures between 68-80 ℉ and nighttime temperatures 7 to 9 ℉ cooler than the day. Feminized plants need low humidity to thrive. Keep relative humidity (RH) at 55%-60% during the vegetative phase, reduce it to around 40% during flowering and to about 30% by harvest. Outdoors, breeders in the northern hemisphere should sow their cannabis seeds in April for harvest in mid October. Healthy Feminized Lavender seeds produce about 21 – 24 oz/plant | 600 – 700 gr/plant of buds each. Indoors, these crops have a flowering time of 8 – 10 weeks and produce about 1.47 oz/ft² | 450 gr/m². Ideal Climate for Cultivating The Lavender cannabis strain flourishes best in a dry climate, ideally with warm, dry summers and mild autumns. Temperatures should consistently sit between 70-85 ℉ (21-29 ℃); steady warmth and consistent sunlight ensure optimal growth, and well-drained soil is essential to prevent root rot and disease. For growers in the U.S., several sta
