Origin
The Black Jack strain is a remarkable creation with origins tracing back to Europe’s renowned seed banks in Amsterdam’s Red Light District. This strain is the result of a cross between two legendary varieties: Black Domina and Jack Herer.
Black Domina, known for its potent indica qualities, blends seamlessly with the balanced sativa traits of Jack Herer. This combination creates a strain with a rich genetic heritage.
Its lineage includes iconic genetics from Skunk #1, OG Kush, Haze, and Northern Lights. The Black Jack seeds inherit a diverse and robust background, making it a favorite among growers and cannabis enthusiasts alike.
Black Jack Strain Awards
Black Jack earned 3rd Place, Best Flower at the Emerald Cup 2019, one of the most prestigious and competitive cannabis events in the industry. Achieving a podium position in the Best Flower category underscores its outstanding bud structure, terpene richness, resin coverage, and overall cultivation performance under expert judging criteria.
This recognition confirms Black Jack’s genetic stability and premium flower quality, highlighting its consistent cannabinoid expression and commercial reliability. Its award winning status reinforces its position as a high caliber hybrid valued for both production efficiency and connoisseur-grade results.
Black Jack Sativa or Indica?
The Black Jack strain leans heavily toward the indica side of the spectrum 55% Indica / 45% Sativa. Its dominant indica genetics come primarily from its Black Domina parent, giving it the classic traits associated with indica strains. These include a relaxing body high and the potential for deep physical relaxation.
Despite its indica dominance, it retains subtle sativa characteristics from Jack Herer, providing a mild cerebral uplift. This balanced profile makes Black Jack seeds an excellent choice for those seeking a strain that calms the body while keeping the mind engaged.
Black Jack Effects
The effects of the Black Jack weed are a perfect blend of relaxation and focus. As an indica dominant hybrid, it offers a soothing body high, ideal for unwinding after a long day. At the same time, its Jack Herer lineage contributes a gentle mental stimulation, enhancing creativity and clarity without overwhelming the user.
Consumers of Black Jack seeds often report feelings of happiness and calm, making it suitable for both recreational and therapeutic use. Whether managing stress or simply seeking a balanced high, this strain delivers a reliable and enjoyable experience.
Germinating Black Jack Seeds
It is important to germinate your Black Jack seeds carefully if you want to have a healthy harvest from day one. Although there are several methods to germinate our Feminized cannabis seeds, from Blimburn Seeds we recommend our customers to follow our easy and simple technique.
Before removing our Black Jack seeds from their packaging, remember that cannabis seeds are alive and delicate. The PH of our hands full of bacteria can easily infect them and ruin our germination.
Set Up Your Germination Station: Begin by moistening two paper towels with room temperature water. Lay one paper towel on a plate and spread the seeds on it, spacing them about 2 cm apart.
Place the second paper towel on top of the seeds, and make sure to remove any excess water from the plate. Cover the setup with another opaque plate and store it in a warm, dark location.
Monitoring: Make sure paper towels are still moist by checking every 4-6 hours and spraying room temperature water. Typically, germination should occur within 24 to 120 hours.
Once the seeds have sprouted tap roots, plant them with the roots facing down and cover with about 2 cm of soil. Remember to water the soil regularly by spraying to keep it moist. It may take up to two weeks for the plants to start growing.
Ideal Conditions: Maintain a consistent temperature of 69.8 ºF – 78.8 ºF (21 ºC – 26 ºC) in the germination area. Use purified room temperature bottled water with a pH level between 5.5 and 6.5.
Keep the seeds away from light, allowing exposure for less than 1 minute before and during germination. Avoid touching the seeds or applying pressure to them.
Record Keeping: To qualify for the three month germination guarantee, it is necessary to follow all the steps outlined in our germination guidelines.
Please do not use alternative germination methods, such as using a water bottle or planting directly into soil. Document the germination process through photography or video, as it will be requested when assessing claims for replacement products.
Black Jack Flowering Time
One of the highlights of Black Jack seeds is their manageable flowering time, making them popular among cultivators. The strain typically flowers within 8 to 10 weeks, striking a perfect balance between speed and yield. This relatively short cycle allows for multiple harvests in a year under ideal conditions.
Growers appreciate the strain’s resilience and the dense, resin coated buds it produces. Whether grown indoors or outdoors, the Black Jack weeds rewards patience with a bountiful yield, showcasing its robust genetic heritage and consistent performance.
